Rogers announces HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D

Rogers has kicked off their back-to-school blitz with exclusive 3D handsets from HTC and LG. The EVO 3D and Optimus 3D will be available for pre-order next week, but to spice things up, those who make the dive have a chance at winning a $2,500 prepaid MasterCard or a 55″ 3D TV depending on what you go for.
The HTC EVO 3D has a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 touchscreen, twin 5 megapixel cameras for capturing 3D video and pictures, as well as a 3D display to enjoy that content on – you don’t even need glasses! The whole package is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. You can check out our review of the HTC EVO 3D over here. As for the LG Optimus 3D, it’s a close second. It also has twin 5 megapixel cameras, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, and glasses-less 4.3-inch qHD 3D screen, but it’s currently only running Android 2.2. Our full review of the Optimus 3D is over here. The big difference between the two are the software customizations, and I generally side with HTC Sense, but be sure to check out Dusan’s side-by-side comparison between the two over here.
The competing big carriers in Canada aren’t resting on their laurels, however; Telus just launched the Optimus Black today, and Bell has the Samsung Galaxy S 2 dropping on the 21st. There are already options aplenty, and no doubt more are on the way before school opens up again.
The contest deadline is August 15, so that should give you an idea of when the Rogers HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D are going on sale.
Meanwhile, you also can find unlocked of HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D on http://www.m2cmobile.com.
