Reports indicate that Apple is set to unveil the iPad 2 on March 2nd
Even at this moment, there are people out there torn between purchasing iPad of some sort thanks to the drone of Android Honeycomb tablets unveiled of late, but then again, they’re contemplating Apple’s next move as well. We’re at that position in the year when fingers start to point on when the company plans on announcing the successor to the best-selling tablet on the planet.
Well, if you want to take the Wall Street Journal’s word, then you’ll only need to wait until March 2nd for all the answers. From the looks of it, their sources indicate that Apple will be holding an event in San Francisco to unveil the iPad 2 – and is further justifying its report that the release of the iPad 2 will not be delayed. However, one of the other big questions unknown, is whether or not Apple head honcho Steve Jobs will be at the helm for the highly anticipated event. In the event that he’s not attending, then Tim Cook will undoubtedly run the show instead.
Come to think of it, the timing of it falls directly in line with one of the iPad’s biggest competitor to date – the Motorola XOOM. There’s no arguing that people will be waiting for Google’s first Android 3.0 Honeycomb device, but now that there is word of a possible iPad 2 unveiling, it can possible sway some people to halt their upcoming purchases. Either way, we’re approximately only a week out before the world says hello to the iPad 2.
